“WatchESPN” the new iPhone application launched by ESPN that allows the user to view live streaming feeds from ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN 3 and ESPNU. Now you can watch your favorite sports coverage wherever you are. In addition of this, ESPN made a western-themed video ad for the new app, which is quite entertaining and you can watch it in the press release.

Currently the app is only available for iPhone and iPod Touch, but an iPad optimized version will be ready in May and it will be coming to other smartphones and tablets in the near future. If you meet these requirements and want live sports action on-the-go, you can get the WatchESPN app for free from the App Store.

With this application you can access not only live sports action, but news, highlights and analysis on ESPN shows, like SportsCenter, PTI, Mike & Mike, and SportsNation etc.
Right now, live streaming is only available to Bright House Networks, Time Warner Cable & Verizon FiOS TV customers who receive ESPN as part of their TV package, but ESPN promises it will bring the app to new TV providers in the future.
