Samsung start rolling out new Galaxy S3 firmware update

Once in our country last week appeared in a minor update, choose only proved relevant for Samsung Galaxy S3 owners of the first hour, the first real update on the road. Today could Galaxy S3 owners in England and India have their phones Over The Air update.

Over The Air – OTA for intimates – is the method that Samsung will use more and more, so users no longer need to hassle with the Electoral software. The big advantage: your phone notifies you automatically when an update can be installed – even though the impatient among us can also manually check: Intel Lingen -> Device Info -> Software Update -> Update.

Although this almost 75 MB update the changes are not exactly shocking – most of the improvements will place deep behind the scenes – there is certainly a novelty that we are very happy: the baked in the notification menu slider for screen brightness. Until now possessed the Galaxy S3 – in contrast to the S2 – not a fast, convenient way to set itself (hence our previous screen brightness tip – so who will be superfluous).

Another point of improvement would be a better functioning Stay Smart function, which the eyes of the user more direct seems to follow.

Whether this is true, we can only test itself when the update arrives in our country – hopefully a bit smoothly!
