After the official introduction some people seemed disappointed that Samsung S3 for the Galaxy again for a plastic body had chosen – a normal, smooth plastic housing that is. Now seems to be the body of the instrument is gemaak of polycarbonate, which we already know, for example Nokia’s Lumia 800, and the HTC X. One

The big difference between the used polycarbonate – which, let’s face it, even just in the category ‘plastic’ or ‘plastic’ belongs – the HTC One X and Galaxy S3 is that the first on a mat, and the last a glossy version available. Furthermore, the housing of the Galaxy S3 so all the advantages that we have seen in other polycarbonate devices: scratch-resistant, because the material is the color (no paint), good grip, and it is more durable than “normal” plastic.

All this explains very well why many early reviews of the Samsung Galaxy S3 – almost to the amazement of the reviewer – come to the conclusion that the unit is very nice feel in the hand – despite the lack of so-called “premium materials.
For us this is all just fine news: Samsung has certainly done her best to the housing of the Galaxy S3 of a solid material to make. Whether you as a consumer likes the Galaxy S3 is more a matter of taste – no shine or luster – but certainly not of material choice.
