Apple and Samsung on, say, odds with each life is clear – and that the latter does not mind a little teasing too. Following an incident in which the Australian police warned of the dangers of Apple’s new Maps application Samsung fun campaign in some cities down under.
A few days ago an Australian couple landed in the middle of the outback, after following falikant wrong instructions on their iPhone. At a temperature of 46 degrees Celsius was set for 24 hours stranded without food or water – about 70 kilometers from Milburn, the city where they actually are supposed to move.
The message is clear: with a Samsung Galaxy S3 was not on the total landed wrong place. However, it is worth mentioning that the S3 in Australia comes with Navigon navigation software, and not – as here – with “only” Google’s own navigation.
Of course the story of the couple an extreme variant of the ‘risk’ of Apple’s Maps app. When used in our own country there can be little go wrong, if anything is wrong.
