Nexus 5 vs Galaxy S4 Specs Comparison

Google Nexus 5 was released earlier this month to reviews that prove the smartphone is a force to be reckoned with. The new Google Nexus 5 is expected to go head to head with high-end smartphone specs including Apple’s iPhone 5S and Samsung’s Galaxy S4. Although the Samsung Galaxy S4 was released about 6 months ago, it is still a great challenger against the Nexus 5. The Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI, where as the Nexus 5 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat fresh out of the box.

The Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4 share similar outward attributes. They both carry 5.0-inch full HD displays at 1980×1080 pixels. However, Nexus 5 carries an IPS screen with 455 pixels per inch where as Galaxy S4 sports only 440 ppi with a Super AMOLED display.

Nexus 5 comes in two models–32GB and 16GB. The specs under the hood are impressive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.26GHz Quad-Core Krait 400 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and Adreno 330 GPU graphics. The Galaxy S4 can be found in up to 64GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S4 tops Nexus 5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3GHz Quad-Core Krait 400 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and Adreno 330 GPU. Other models of the Galaxy S4 come with a smaller processor and GPU.

Both devices are considered nearly flawless in performance and each have their perks in design and build. Nexus 5 reviews suggest that the Google phone is wholesome and a worthy competitor in the market. However, which device do you think is the true smartphone king?
